What is a waistband?

waistband [ˈweɪstˌbænd]
noun;

 An encircling band of material to finish and strengthen a skirt or trousers at the waist

I am so tired of seeing people wearing pants below the buttocks. They actually have to hold on to the pants, which makes me laugh, with their hands so the pants do not fall down around their ankles. And what is even funnier they are wearing a belt with the pants. There is a reason for why that piece of material is called a waistband. It is to be worn around the waist.

In my online class today we are talking about electronic communication. What are the advantages and disadvantages. One of my pet peeves is the way people are communicating to each other. I see postings where the sentence could use improvements. The forgetfulness of capitalization's at the beginning of the sentence and the common mistake in not capitalizing the pronoun "I", (the nominative singular pronoun, used by a speaker in referring to himself or herself).
